This tree has given us so much pleasure the past week or so. The kids are old enough not to attack it, it’s the perfect size and shape–and I didn’t have to do a thing, my husband took care of the purchase, schlepping and setting up. How wonderful to have a little jewel like this appear in your house!

I have been letting my daughter use a small set of watercolor crayons and good paper. Today, in drawing desperation, I tore up her discards to collage this apple….

Blind contour of the christmas tree. Too exhausted to attempt anything else, tonight!

I saw this tree while driving on Junipero Serra this morning. I have always loved its precarious lean. I did the drawing on the left, while my daughter drew next to me. She then crawled into my lap and we collaborated on the right hand side of the page.

Still thinking, and using some collage…

Spent a lot of time today driving on the highway–both 280 and 101. I love the baked hills.
