  • Another bridge journal

Another day going over the Bay Bridge…and something keeps provoking me to draw about it.

  • Palo Alto

Palo Alto means Tall Tree, if I remember correctly, or maybe it’s just Big Tree. We spent the afternoon at the outdoor pool, and I had a little time to draw–right across the pool was this Palo Alto.

Finished late saturday night. Spent the day with good friends working on beading projects. Very fun. Then had a great date–a movie (Scoop, the new woody allen–entertaining) and a delicious dinner at the Metro.

  • A good use for BlogHer Swag

This is a flash drive case that I have turned into the handiest, most lightweight gouache paint box (thanks for the idea, Liz!). Hooray! I love these M. Graham gouache colors–they are making me really excited to do my daily drawing.

My new gouache arrived–what a treat to go from trumped-up poster paints to the Real Deal. Hooray! At Liz’s suggestion I have taken a box that housed a flashdrive that came with BlogHer swag and used modelling clay to create a lightweight paintbox. It has a satisfying magnetic closure that makes a nice click. I’ll post a picture when the little blobs of paint dry.

The weather report for this week. It seems to apply to the mood of the house, as well.
