Spent yesterday (monday) at the Petaluma Pumpkin Patch. Highlights included a vast Corn Maze. We managed to get in and out of it all in one group!

Spent Saturday tasting the most incredible single vineyard wines at Nickel and Nickel up in Oakville. Beautiful day, beautiful architecture (they have rebuilt a 1770’s farmhouse piece by piece–saving it from destruction and relocating it from NH to CA) and ridiculously delicious red wines!

Spent the moring in the east bay hills. Periodically, a tiny glimpse of the city would appear through the trees and the fog, a window here, a porch there.

I am glad to be back home.

Finished a knitting project late last night.

Spent Saturday night at a friend’s house, looking after their two fabulous children so they could have a getaway. 10pm–hadn’t done my drawing–tired, but I lifted the shade and voila–there was St. Ignatius, lit up in the dark night.
